To advance the Alabama aerospace community and facilitate state economic development within Alabama through industry networking, policy development, educational discussions, and focused events, involving state elected and other government officials.
The 2025 Alabama Aerospace Summer Internship Program is for high school and college students interested in pursuing careers in the aerospace industry. All students pursuing STEM- (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
The 2025 Internship Program will run for two weeks during the summer, a virtual week followed by an in-person week , which gives students ample time to experience what it’s like to work in various facets of the aerospace industry. Students will spend time at various aerospace facilities where they will have a chance to meet the best and the brightest in the aerospace industry, participate in hands-on activities, and get an exclusive behind the-scenes look at what each company does and some of the exciting projects they are working on.
The Alabama Chapter of the Aerospace States Association hosted its annual Aerospace Day at the Capitol on February 23, 2022 with NASA Marshall Space Flight Center Director Jody Singer. The event, led by Lt. Governor Ainsworth, was attended by Members of the Legislature and the Alabama Aerospace Community.
