Florida Space Day is a milestone event that presents an opportunity to educate and bring awareness to Florida legislators on the significance of the aerospace industry and its impact on Florida’s economy.

The aerospace industry represents billions of dollars in annual economic impact and employs thousands of residents in the state’s 67 counties.

With the Space Shuttle retirement, it is imperative that government and industry work in partnership to create a cohesive and successful vision for Florida’s role in space exploration.

Florida’s space industry representatives visit Tallahassee each year to participate in Florida Space Day.  Private companies, local, state and federal agencies, and academic institutions participate in this unique, annual event, meant to educate our state leaders on the challenges and opportunities Florida has during this dynamic time in the space program.
